Reunion Weekend Parade Planned for Saturday, July 1, 2011

The Max School Reunion Committee has announced plans to hold a parade on the Saturday of the All-School Reunion. They are encouraging each graduating class to provide a parade entry.

If you have any additional suggestions or ideas for the parade, contact Kathy Huettl or any Reunion Committee member.

Photos Wanted

Do you have photos from past school reunions, or even from your days at Max School? If you would like to share them, we would like to post them here. Please email photos to the Site Manager. In addition, if you would like to share photos to possibly be included in a reunion booklet, either email digital photos to Kathy Huettl, or mail printed photos to her at PO Box 284, Max, ND 58759. If you want photos returned, please make sure to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with adequate postage when you send them.

The Max School Alumni are in the process of planning for the next All-School Reunion, to be held July 1st & 2nd, 2011. Would you like to be involved? Our next meeting will take place on Sunday, September 12th at 3:00 pm in the Max School Commons. Please come and add your ideas and your willingness to be a part of this fun community celebration. We really need and want more people to be involved. The more alumni that actively participate, the better the reunion will be for everyone!

Regrettably, involvement in committees and volunteering for activities has been very low to this point (June 2010). At the last planning meeting, it was the consensus among those who have been involved that continued low attendance at meetings and an inability to enlarge the volunteer pool will probably mean that the event may, by necessity, have to be very streamlined. If you do not want to see your reunion events go by the wayside, please volunteer to help--and give someone you know a nudge to do the same!

In addition, tell us what you want from your reunion. What do you feel is needed in order to increase community involvement and volunteering? How do we make this a meaningful and memorable event that people will want to get involved with? We need your ideas and opinions.
