The Fall Festival held at the Max Catholic Church this past Sunday was very well attended. The winner of the quilt was Charlotte Madsen from Max. Another item from the raffle was the Christmas tree skirt, won by Judy Schall from Minnesota. Judy is Ron Osadchy’s sister! Other winners were Dorothy Thompson from Garrison winning the Mary Kay gift bag and Amy Hauf from Max winning the $20 in Max Bucks. Wayne Thompson from Max won the $10 Max Bucks door prize. They would like to thank all of you who attended.

Sunday, November 7 th, the Max Baptist Church will be having a Singspiration at their church at 3:30, with a potluck supper following. Come and share your talent.

This Saturday, October 30 th, is the Civic Club Annual Steak Fry. Tickets are still available for $15. Serving will begin approximately at 5:00 and Wayne Douglas (Kabanuck) will be playing for the dance. This will be even bigger and better than in years past with the new date.

Sunday, November 14 th, from 9:30 to 2:30 is the Max Library’s annual Flea market, Craft and Vendor Fair. Tables are still available for $8 each. Call the Library at 679-2263. Max Centennial 2006 items will be available during this time and the week following is full with Library Week events. Watch next week’s news for more details on all you can take part in.

Centennial Kick-Off Fundraiser is November 27 th. This is the Saturday evening following Thanksgiving, so bring your Thanksgiving guests for the fun night. There will be more details about this in later news.

Needs to be met: Donated baked goods for the Library Bake Sale on November 14 th; Recipes and Hints for the Library’s Centennial Cookbook; Family and Business histories and pictures for the Centennial History Book; Vendors and Crafters for the Library Flea Market; People to enjoy the Library Week events; Buyers of the books at the American Book display; People to eat steak at the Civic Club Steak Fry; and many fun-lovers enjoying the Centennial Kick-Off Fundraiser!
