The Halloween party held at the Max Library on October 28 th for the pre-school and kindergarten children was a lot of fun. We had games, crafts, and lunch was served. The following children were in attendance: Alex Schroeder, Dalton Hauf, Hope Scheresky, Tyrel Olson, Trevor Schmidt, and Jessica, Christina, and Stephanie Bingham. Thank you children for coming and thank you to all who helped.

As a part of the Max Centennial celebration, there will be Ethnic Food booths set up in the Civic Center. This will provide an opportunity for area churches and youth groups (or any interested organization) to set up a booth and sell their food item. This is a great fundraiser for participating organizations. At this time, the ethic food committee is asking for interested participants to please call Stacy Tomlinson at (701) 679-2465. You do not have to decide what your group will be cooking/selling at this time. The committee just wants to know about how many booths we will be working with. Thanks!

This Sunday, November 7 th, the Max Baptist Church will be having a Singspiration at 3:30 with a potluck supper to follow. Come and share your talent.

Come to the meeting to see if you won but don’t forget to buy your 50/50 ticket first!

We welcome a new business to the community of Max – “Unique Treasures”, run by Karla Erickson of Benedict. You can see these “treasures” in the former Mini-Mart at the south end of the Centennial Café, off Highway 83. Karla presently will be open Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. and by appointment. Call 721-5563. She has something for everyone; for men, women, children and collectors, with a focus on animals and western items. Her items are cast iron, wooden, resin, musical; they hang, stand up, hold things……well, just go see her wonderful wide variety! We wish you the very best, Karla, and thank you for bringing another business to our community.
