Max News 11-15-04 The Max Library Board would like to thank all the vendors who took part in their Craft Fair, and also thank you to all who helped. The winners of door prizes at DeeOn Mack’s Mary Kay booth were: Kali Ann Bauer, Stacy Tomlinson, Susan Halverson and Brenda Henne. Thank you for stopping by! The Max Centennial Celebration planning meeting was well attended Monday evening. Advertising fees were discussed with the following being decided on. These ads will go in the 8-1/2 x 11 History book. A full page is $100; ½ page is $65; ¼ page is $35; 1/8 page, which is business card size, is $20; One line, across the 8-1/2 inch page, is $5. The one line ad or name listing will be in 14 font and 27 characters. Forms will be available for placing your ad. The Promotion Committee Chairman reported that sales were very good at the Library’s Craft Fair, with the selling of the Max Centennial Afghans, denim shirts, and sweatshirts. The full-color afghan costs $48.95 and at present there are only 17 left. The two-color afghan costs $36.95 and there are 23 left. Denim shirts with embroidered logo cost $29.95 and come in sizes small through 3XL. The sweatshirts with screen printed logo across the front come in Oxford grey (ash) and cream and in sizes from small through 3XL. Sweatshirts cost $19.95. These will all be available to view/reserve and purchase at the following fundraiser. Soon pictures of these items and an order blank will be on the Max website, www.maxnd.com The Max Centennial Celebration Kickoff Fundraiser is Saturday, November 27 th at the Civic Center. The chili feed begins at 5:30; Bingo from 7 – 9; Dart tourney at 9. Those under the age of 21 may take part in the chili feed and the bingo. Tickets are $10 each, which includes many drawings for cash until November of 2005. Otherwise you may buy a ticket at the door for $5, for the chili feed. December 11 th, is Santa Day in Max. Watch for more news on this event. Next Wednesday evening, November 24 th, there will be a Community Thanksgiving Service at the Max Baptist Church. The next Max Centennial Celebration Planning meeting will be held the third Sunday in February, 2005, at 2:00 in the afternoon.
