Max News 12-20-04 The Sunnyslope Homemakers had their Christmas party at Mavis Zahursky’s in Minot last Tuesday. Jamie Gullickson, daughter of Nancy and Terry Gullickson of Max, graduated on December 17 th., 2004 from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. A big congratulation to you, Jamie! Those attending were her parents, Terry and Nancy, her Grandmothers Irene Schoenwald and Viola Gullickson all of Max. Her brother Kenny Gullickson, sister Kari and her husband Craig Rodenberg all of Rapid City, South Dakota were also there. Jerry and Sheila Schoenwald of Sawyer, Joyce and Ken Froschheiser of Thief River Falls, MN., and Jared Schmidt, Angie and Matt Voigt all of Bismarck were also present at Jamie’s graduation ceremony. Several other friends were in attendance too. Jamie will start her new job in Bismarck in January. We are proud of you, Jamie! The Red Hat Christmas party was held Saturday afternoon at Lila Fannik’s home in Max. Sunday afternoon, Steve and Joanie Narum of Douglas visited with Aunt Margaret Scurlock and Aunt Lila Fannik of Max. Rural Max areas experienced zero visibility this afternoon for a ‘scary’ time. Fortunately the snowfall didn’t last long so despite the winds, the visibility cleared up in time for people to go home from their jobs. Temperatures were in the 40’s and dropped immediately. By 6:00 P.M. the windchill was a minus 20 degrees! We are supposed to have severely low windchills for several days now, with a warm-up on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas one and all! “”There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Albert Einstein
