Marion Schmaltz, daughter of Elaine Kohler, has moved to Underwood and now delivers the Meals On Wheels to Max every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This past Thursday her son Jacob came with so he could see Grandma Elaine.

Linda Feldner of Minot has notified us that Audrey Schoenberg Zahnow fell and broke her hip at her home in Everette, Washington. I’m sure she would appreciate hearing from her friends in the Max/Benedict area, to help pass the time while she recuperates. Her address is: Audrey Zahnow; 10208 27th. With help from the Max Farmer’s Elevator and others, the Dr. Pepper can is on the ice again. Tickets are now on sale. You get three guesses as to the time the can will plunge through the ice, for $5. Thank you to all those who helped!

For those in warmer areas, Max now has about ten inches of snow, blown about to look like fluffy white frosting! And temperatures in double digits below zero for the day’s high! Very crisp and pretty but also very dangerous.
