Harry and his wife, Marianne, now live in Susanville, CA. Her daughter, Patricia and her husband, Paul Turton live in Bloomington, MN. On May 11, the Sunnyslope Homemakers Club met at the Wrangler Café with 9 members present. After the meeting, the Club enjoyed viewing Edwin and Dellora Schmidt’s museum in Max. It was a very windy day for them. Lila Fannik was hostess but was absent as she was visiting her daughter and son-in-law in Georgia. Jamie Gullickson was among the 1400 graduates from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks on Saturday, May 15. Attending the graduation were her parents, Terry and Nancy; her Grandmothers, Irene Schoenwald and Viola Gullickson; and her Aunt and Uncle Joyce and Ken Froschheiser from Thief River Falls, MN. On Sunday family and friends celebrated with Jamie at the Gullickson home. Jamie received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. Congratulations, Jamie! On Wednesday, Lila Fannik and Linda Feldner of Minot returned home from a week’s visit with Virginia and Harold Sides and family of Stockbridge, GA.They arrived in Minot at midnight as their flight was delayed by bad weather. Have Mom and Dad check the Max News each week so you will know about the following week’s events! Our Max Library is equipped with two computers with internet, available for the public to use. Among the many at the May 17 th. Civic Club meeting, was a guest. Representative Kristin Hagen offered the support of RTC. We enjoyed having her in our meeting. August 7 th. is Max’s Annual Pasta Day and also the 25 th. Anniversary of the Rodeo. New ideas are needed to bring more people in for the day-long event. Soon Centennial meetings will be set up. Keep all this in mind – things need to be done – funds need to be raised – committees need to meet. The celebration set for June 30, July 1 and 2 nd, 2006 is fast approaching. Tomorrow, the 21 st. is the last day of school in Max. Then Sunday, the 23 rd. graduation ceremonies for the class of 2004 will be held at 2:00 at the school. Congratulations Graduates! “Though no one can go and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” Carl Bard
