Greg and Kathy Zenz of Max are the proud parents of a little daughter, Stephanie Marie, born on Father’s Day, June 20 th. She weighed 7# 6oz. and was 20” long. She has a little brother, Christopher. Stephanie’s Maternal Grandparents are Melvin and Ava Dufner of Lansford. Her Paternal Grandparents are Edna Zenz of Max and the late John Zenz. Congratulations to Greg and Kathy!

George Huettl is now living in Manor Care in Minot. He is their chief Bingo caller and loves it. He was able to be at his home in Max for a Fourth of July gathering with his family.

Recent surprise visitors at the Lorna Sambor home on July 4 th were the former Lila Bokovoy of Washington state, and her nephew Terry Rice, son of the late Jeanette Bokovoy of Minot. They also visited with Carsen Sambor that same day.

Connie Sambor of Plymouth, MN visited with her Mom Lorna Sambor during her hospitalizations and recuperation at home.

Thursday July 8 th, is the final day to remove flowers from the graves at the Max Baptist Cemetery.

Thursday, July 8 th the Library will be having “take home” activities. But next Thursday, July 15 th, their theme for Summer Reading is “Survival: Winter, Sickness, and Injuries.” There will be Lewis and Clark Trivia and you will be making a compass.

Thursday July 8 th at 7:00 P.M. at the Max City Hall is the Methamphetamine Public Awareness meeting. The public is encouraged to attend.

Sunday July 11 th from 11:30 – 1:00 at the Max City Hall is a Helping Hands Community Potluck for Carmen Day Fedorenko to help with her medical expenses. Then on Monday July 12 th the Civic Club meets at 7:00 P.M. There will be the 50-50 drawing and more discussion and decisions made about Pasta Day, which will be held on Saturday, August 7 th.
