This is being sponsored by the Library. There will not be a regular flower show this year, so you are encouraged to bring your flowers and plants in for this display. Adults and children may contribute and there will be a People’s Choice. There will not be divisions as there was in the past Flower Shows. The car show is an Open Car Show to include all motorized vehicles. There, too, will be a People’s Choice. You may do your own advertising for your vehicle. There is no pre-registration, just show up! So far approximately 25 vehicles will be on display on Main Street. There are presently 8 rummage sales lined up, with two of those on nearby farms. Please contact Joann McElwain at 679-2751 by August 2 nd if you want your rummage sale listed on the map that will be available. Some of the rummage sales are starting on Friday and running through Saturday. Others will start on Saturday. The high speed chase starting in Minot and ending up in Max this past Saturday night could have caused some terrible accidents. But thanks to our police and highway patrol, all traffic north and southbound on Highway #83 was stopped, allowing the fleeing vehicle and about 5 police cars race through the intersection without injuring anyone. Our own son and granddaughter were at the scene and were advised to pull off Highway #53, thus clearing the road for the oncoming vehicles. “You’re never too old to do goofy stuff.” Ward Cleaver, ‘Leave It to Beaver’
