Correction: Wanda Huettl's e-mail address was incorrect in last week's news. It should be dwhuettl@rtc.coop. She is looking for any information and/or pictures of the Observation Tower that stood in Max. Any information and/or pictures of Boeing when it was located in Max would also be appreciated.

Edward and Idamae Hauf returned recently from a bus tour to Nashville, TN and the Ozarks. They enjoyed seeing several beautiful and interesting sights on the tour including the fall colors along the Mississippi River in MN, Churchill Downs the home of the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, Kentucky, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN and Elvis Presley's home at Graceland in Memphis, TN. On the return trip they enjoyed two days at Branson, MO.

Several people from Max took in the Doughboy Brunch in Benedict this past Sunday.

This Thursday, November 10th an informational meeting will be held at the Max Senior Center, starting at 1:00 p.m. The subject will be on your Medicare-Part D-getting assistance on securing prescriptions you may need now or in the future. Rhonda Goppart will be here to answer all your questions. Everyone on Medicare now or in the future should attend and all are welcome to come. Refreshments will be served.

Saturday, November 12th anyone can come to the Civic Center to set up their tables, starting at 7 p.m. The next day the Flea Market will be from 9:30-2:30 but the doors will be open at 8 a.m. in case you want to set up then. Support your local library!

During the Flea Market there will be Pampered Chef party going on in the Library. Everyone is welcome. The Library will be benefitting from these sales.

Monday, the 14th Terry Voeller from Lowes Garden Center will be here at 7 p.m. to show everyone how to make a wreath. You don't need to bring any supplies. This is also Civic Club night, as listed on the community calendar.

Thursday, the 17th Jessica Henne will be helping you make a scrapbook page at 7 p.m. Contact Jessica at 679-2256 for more information. You may bring your own supplies or use hers. There is a small fee for this class.

November 20th at 2:30 the Senior Citizens Center will be getting a percentage of sales from a Pampered Chef party being held there at that time. Everyone is welcome.

Reminder: November Centennial Planning meeting will be held on Monday, November 21st at 7:30. Only seven months until Max's Centennial Celebration takes place! Let us be ready - company is coming!
