Our sincere sympathy to Agnes Dobowey and family in the death of her Mother in Minnesota. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Agnes.

Many from Max attended the funeral for Sandy Samson Erie today, Monday. Sandy was stricken with cancer a bit over a year ago. She rallied through the summer but was again stricken in the fall. Sandy graduated from Max High School in 1971. Her parents are JoNell and the late Sam Samson of Max. Our sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

There are many events coming up in Max this month. Jot these dates on your calendar so you will remember to take them in.

Sunday, February 13 th, our Fire Fighters are having a pancake breakfast from 9 to 1, to raise funds towards purchasing fireworks to display during Max’s Centennial Celebration.

Monday, February 14 th, is the 7:30 Civic Club meeting. Come see what it is all about!

Sunday, February 20 th, the Meals on Wheels program is putting on a pancake breakfast from 9 to 1. This is to raise funds to keep the Meals on Wheels program active. This is open to the public no matter where you live or your age.

That same day, Sunday, February 20 th, at 2:00 at the Civic Center, there will be the first Centennial Celebration planning meeting of 2005. Bring your business and/or family histories for the history book. Come hear how the plans are going!

Sunday, February 27 th, at the Senior Center in Max, there will be a fund raising party from 2 to 5. This is to raise funds to keep the Senior Center open. There will be a variety of games, including bingo, pool, cards, and board games. Prizes will be awarded!

A free-will offering will be taken and coffee and cookies will be served. Come enjoy the afternoon. This is open to the public, no matter your age! Out of towners are welcome to come join in on the fun, too.

Walking dates for the upcoming days are tonight, February 10 th, with no more walking time until February 22, 23, 24, and 28 th. The Civic Center is open from 6:30 to 8:30 for this exercise time.
