Max News 3-7-05 D.O.C. will be appearing live in concert at Makoti High School, Tuesday, March 22 nd at 7 P.M. Over a decade of touring nationally and world wide, “D.O.C.” – Disciples Of Christ remains one of the most sought after groups in Contemporary Christian Music. Alton Hood and David Brooks endeavor to serve as positive role models for today’s youth. Past achievements include a distinguished discography of three best selling albums. They are also recipients of numerous Dove Award nominations, a Grammy nomination, and voted among the top three Christian Rap groups for four consecutive years. For more information call Pastor Jonathan or Pam Starks at 758-2401. Free admission, a free will offering will be received. The Max City Park will have the new playground equipment up soon. And on the west side of the Max Civic Center will be the new Centennial Park with a lighted flag pole so the flag can fly continually. The Honor Wall and the lighted flag pole will enhance each other’s importance. What a breathtaking sight! Donations are requested for these two projects in Max. These may be in honor of or in memory of a loved one, or just a donation. All those donating, plus those being honored or remembered, will be identified in some form in each park. Any checks should be made out to the City Park Board and mailed to Max City Hall at P.O. Box #116; Max, North Dakota 58759-0116. What beautiful additions these parks will be to our city. The Max Senior Citizens will be having their noon potluck with the monthly meeting following, tomorrow, Friday. The Max Pax 4-H group will meet at the hall at 7 P.M tomorrow, Friday, the 11 th. The Max Youth Center will be open tomorrow, Friday, from 8 until midnight. Monday, March 14 th, is the 6:30 Civic Club meeting.
