The Dr. Pepper can is still upright! Not standing very straight, though, so soon we’ll know the winners!

The Max Catholic Church had a very successful spaghetti dinner on Sunday. This is an annual event for them.

You’ll notice the City Park is missing its playground equipment. This is preparing for the installation of the very colorful new playground equipment. Donations to help pay for this wonderful equipment is still needed.

This Saturday is the Jr/Sr Prom at the Max High School. The Grand March will begin at 8 P.M. and is always very beautiful to watch. The public is invited to come see this.

This Sunday, April 10 th is the benefit potluck for Carmen Day Fedorenko. As of this writing, she is in the hospital but hopes to be home and able to attend this benefit. There will be a free will offering and a silent auction, all to help with her medical expenses. I’m sure any donations of items for the silent auction would be appreciated.

Monday, April 11 th is Civic Club and the next Monday, April 18 th is the Max Centennial Meeting at 7:30 and the Rodeo meeting at 8 P.M.

The Max Youth Center will be open next Friday, April 15 th from 8 until midnight.

Don’t forget to bring any new or changed mailing addresses and e-mail addresses to the next Centennial meeting. The deadline will soon be coming for histories and/or pictures for the History book too. The Douglas deadline for their information for their book is this April 15 th.

The deadline for recipes and hints for the cookbook the Max Public Library is printing will be coming soon too. Don’t put off sending them in, via e-mail, regular mail, or dropping them off any longer. “Just Do It”. The Library’s e-mail address is: maxlib@restel.net.
