Max News Max News 5-9-05 Summer Recreation plans are getting under way. If your child is interested in playing T-Ball, Soft Ball, or Baseball, please call Gary Narum at 529-4822. This isn't long distance from Max. Summer Reading will begin the first week in June at the Max Public Library. A letter will be sent home with children in Kindergarten through 6th grade, explaining the program this year, so parents, please watch for your child to bring it home. We encourage parents to make it possible for their children to participate, as keeping up on their reading during the summer is very important! Besides, there are prizes! There is a Viking pop up camper parked in the Centennial parking area that we need to find the owner to. The area is to be renovated and the camper will have to be moved. Please call 340-4380 or 679-2459 if you know who to contact about the camper. Saturday's Older American Day at the Senior Center was a huge success. More than two dozen bikers took part in the Bike-A-Thon in the morning. Rain affected sales of Kyle's Greenhouse plants but those who could, purchased many beautiful vegetable and flower plants. Inside, the Concordia Lutheran Church ladies of Benedict sold alot of quilts and many Centennial Souvenirs were sold. The Seniors' Bake Sales and Rummage Sales were equally successful. Thankyou to all who volunteered and brought items....and to those who purchased items also. There are new souvenir items for sale now for the Max Centennial and you can see them on the www.maxnd.com website. Tonight, Thursday, May 12th. is the Spring Concert at the school at 7:30.
