It was also Travis's 21st birthday! Congratulations, Travis! On Wednesday Virginia Sides, Braden Barden and Timothy Martin all returned to Georgia after being here to attend High School graduations for Sarah Barden and Shawna Fannik. They also attended Sarah Barden and Adam Becker's wedding. There will be a 50th birthday party on June 18 from 6:30-10:00 at the Max City Hall for Raymond Iverson. Everyone is welcome. Raymond turned 50 on December 29th. Sunday, June 12th from 2 to 4 P.M. is Dan Flath's 90th birthday party at the Senior Citizen Center in Max. No gifts, please. The garage sales and flea markets this past Saturday were all successful with an interest in having another city-wide rummage sale in August. Did you forget to register your child for this session of swimming lessons? You may still do so, by calling Lynae Schroeder at 679-2505. This session will be held June 13-17. The cost for the lessons is $28 per session per child. If you are a Max Civic Club member or would like to join the Max City Club, they will pay half of the lesson fee. Kids age 3 and up are welcome. The next session hopefully will be held in August. The bus will leave from the Max Schol at 12:15 and will arrive back at the school around 3:45. Please send payment with your child on the first day of lessons. We also need chaperones so please volunteer. Contact Lynae at 679-2505 to register or if you have any questions or can help out in any way. Max had too much water from the recent storm so officials came in to check things out. Water quality has been checked by the Minot Health Department and roads are becoming visibile again. Look for a separate article on this in today's paper. You'll notice alot of grey rings setting around. The Max Enterprise is giving those away! The more you take, the happier everyone will be! They go good round tomato plants to hold in the water when you water; you may also bolt several together to use for storing your fishing poles, garden tools etc., all upright. If you need a bottom for these 'bins' you are making, contact Edwin Schmidt in Max. If you have your own idea or ideas on how to use them, share your ideas. Civic Club will be meeting Monday at 7:30.
