Don't forget to check out the bulletin board in the entryway to the Civic Center. It is always full of information about events, sales, and other things.

This Friday evening the Youth Center will be open.

Good News Club is being held now at the City Park in Max. There is more information for you about it, on that bulletin board.

Sunday afternoon visitors at Lila Fannik's were her ne[phews Don Meronuck of Fargo and Clayton Narum of Minneapolis. Others there were Hilbert and Phyllis Narum of Douglas and Lorna Sambor, Margaret Scurlock, and Sarah Becker.

Several from Max enjoyed the Douglas Annual picnic at the Senior Center there on Sunday.

On Grandparents' Day, September 11th from 9:30 until 1:00 there will be a Grandparents' Day Breakfast served at the Max City Hall. This is being sponsored by the Max Civic Club.

They are serving french toast and ham. Max Centennial souvenirs will be on sale and a Max Centennial sweatshirt will be given away.

On October 29th the Max Civic Club will be having its annual steak fry. The tickets are $15.00 for one. Night Owl band will be playing for the dance following the meal.

This coming Monday, August 15th is the August Centennial Planning meeting at 7:30.
