There was a large attendance at tonight's Centennial planning meeting. It was decided to charge food venders $35 as a set up fee, plus 5% of their sales during the celebration. Three bands have been hired for the evening dances and there was more discussion on entertainment for the children during these days. There will be more in next week's news on how the Centennial plans are going.

The concert put on by the Air Force last Wednesday evening, on Main Street, was very well attended with many coming from other towns. The weather was just beautiful and the food was very good. The music was fantastic and the visiting was heart-warming. Many said it was like the Saturday nights Max used to have! We want to thank Charlie Doan for arranging this for our small community.

This Saturday, August 20th Max will be having city-wide rummage sales. Contact Karla Erickson.
