Max News 8-29-05 Dwight and DeeOn Mack recently returned from visiting their son Darren and Tonya, and their two Grandchildren Erin and Joshua, at Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Several friends and relatives came to help Lorna Sambor celebrate her 84th birthday on Saturday, August 27th. Lila Fannik, Margaret Scurlock, and Lorna Sambor enjoyed Sunday afternoon at the Douglas Senior Center where Doris Field Engene was celebrating her birthday. The Max City Council meeting will be held on September 6, a Tuesday, at 7 p.m. These are open meetings and anyone may attend. Friday, September 9th is the Max Senior Citizens monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Children, remind your Grandparents, and Grandparents, remind your Grandchildren, that you should attend the Grandparents Day Breakfast together! This is sponsored by the Max Civic Club and will be serving french toast and ham on Sunday, September 11th from 9:30 to 1:00.
