Last Monday Viola Gullickson and Lila Fannik attended the McLean County meeting on aging in Butte. They rode the McLean County West River bus with people from Garrison, Douglas, Benedict, and Ruso.

The Sunnyslope Homemakers Club met on Tuesday at the Lorna Sambor home. They enjoyed a visit to the Schmidt Museum in Max. Three visitors joined them for the afternoon; Ethel Boettcher, Dellora Schmidt, and Phyllis Narum.

Then on Friday the Max Senior Citizens potluck and meeting was well attended.  All enjoyed the visitors from Renton, Washington. They were Alvin and Marlis Erickson, Viola Gullickson's brother and wife.

The 4-H'ers Corn Maze north of Max is still open on Sundays. There is a special article on it elsewhere in today's paper.

As we slide into November, you can enjoy pancakes, sausage, fruit juice, and coffee at the Catholic Church in Max during their Fall Festival, with serving from 10 am to 1pm on the 5th. There will be drawings during this time too, along with crafts and baked goods for sale.

Important: The Max Senior Citizen's November potluck and meeting with election of officers will be held on the 9th., a Thursday, instead of the usual Friday, the 10th. The First and Second graders will be entertaining at th Senior Center that Thursday, November 9th.  These children do not have school on Friday, the 10th., so would not be able to come that day to entertain.  Please make a note of the change in day.

November 12, a Sunday, is the Max Community Library's Bookfair/FleaMarket/Vendor Fair at the Civic Center.  Tables may be reserved to display and sell your goods. Contact the library at 679-2263 or at maxlib@restel.net. The evenings following will be filled with more activities for the young and old in the community. There will be more details on these later.
