You may call Lynae Schroeder at 679-2505 if you have any questions.

The library is having their Halloween party on Tuesday, 31st. from 3:30 to 4:30 at the Civic Center.  Parents are reminded that their children must be picked up at this time. Later in the day, and early evening, please be careful while driving as there will be many ghosts and goblins out on the sidewalks and streets. They will be harmless to you, so please do not harm them!

THEN COMES NOVEMBER!  More food  - on Sunday, November 5th. the Catholic Church will be having their Fall Festival at their church with the serving of pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee from 10 to 1 p.m. They will be having drawings too, along with crafts to buy and baked goods to stock up on for the holidays. Bring your neighbor, friend, relative, or all three!

It is a big day at the Max Senior Center on Thursday, November 9th. There will be the monthly potluck, the monthly meeting with election of officers, and the children from the Max School will be entertaining. Take note this is to be held on Thursday and not the usual Friday.

The very next Sunday, November 12th. is the kick-off of Library Week with the Book Fair/Craft Vendor Fair from 9:30 to 2:30 at the Max Civic Center. There are still tables available at $10 each and must be paid for at the beginning of that day. Next week there will be a listing of all who will be selling or showing their crafts. Only the Book Fair items will be available during library hours all week. Come this one day to get a jump on your Christmas shopping from all the vendors and crafters.

At noon there will be a benefit lunch served with the proceeds going to help with medical expenses for George Mihlbauer, husband of Arlette Iverson, formerly of Max.

Library Week continues with two, so far, evening fun events. The first will be that Monday night at 7 at the Civic Center when Terry Voeller is coming to have us make suet balls as a project. Just bring yourselves and a friend, neighbor, relative, or all three!

Then on Thursday evening at 7 also at the Civic Center, Tamra Huesers will be doing a mosaic project with us. You do need to sign up for this by November 10th. Please call Tamra at 679-2030 to sign up and for any information on the project.
