Announcements: Good News Club will be having their first meeting on November 6th at 3:30 at the Max Baptist Church. Good News Club will meet each Monday through December 11th. at that same time and at the same place. A December 4th Birthday Party for Jesus will be held at the church. Rushville-NewOta Farmers Union Local annual meeting will be held on Monday, November 6th at 7:30 at the Lila Fannik home in Max. There will be election of officers and delegates for the State Farmers Union Convention which will be held in Williston on December 8 and 9th. All are welcome! Reminders: Max Catholic Church Fall Festival being held on November 5th. with serving of pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice, and coffee from 10 am to 1 pm. Drawings will be held and there will be crafts and baked goods for sale. Thursday, November 9th. the Max Senior Citizens will be holding their noon potluck with the monthly meeting to follow. The children from school will be entertaining. There will be election of officers. Please remember - this is being held on Thursday instead of Friday! Sunday, November 12th. is the kick off for the Max Library's Week. From 9 to 2:30 there will be books for sale; several vendors; and several flea market style tables to buy from. Noon lunch will be served. Monday night is an activity which you do not need to bring anything to but on Thursday night, the 16th, Tamra Huesers will be instructing a hands-on tile mosaics class. You do need to register for this by calling Tamra at 679-2030 by November 10th. There is no charge for the class but she needs to bring enough supplies, so please phone her if you 'hope' to come. If you have any used or new ceramic tiles for the class, they would be greatly appreciated. More information on these events in next week's news. You will find a box, neatly decorated by the children in St. Matthew's Sunday School, at the Max Bremer Bank. This is for any new or good used mittens, gloves, scarves, and caps that will then be donated to the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Minot. The recent annual Civic Club Steak Fry was a huge success with all 300 tickets being sold. The Civic Center was beautifully decorated by the Max School children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. Thankyou children, for doing such a wonderful job! Dwight and DeeOn Mack recently returned from Red Lodge, Montana where they attended a Mary Kay Retreat. Margaret and Eugene Zaderaka attended the 40th. anniversary celebration for Lori Zaderaka's parents in Minot on Friday evening.
