The Max Senior Citizens had their November potluck and meeting with election of officers this past Thursday. Before the meeting started, they were entertained by the First and Second Graders from the Max School, Paula Huesers and Joyce Malling, teachers. They sang and read to us and recited information on Thanksgiving, and were even dressed the part in their pilgrim outfits and indian outfits! You may find their picture in this week's paper. Thankyou, children, for putting on such a wonderful program! You didn't even seem to be nervous - good for you! As the children were finishing up their program and pictures were being taken of them, several of the Senior members were called out on a grass fire. So while everyone waited for them to return, those that needed to, got their flu shots at the Max Civic Center. Don't forget to get yours! You'll be very pleased to know that several improvements have been made to the Senior Citizens' building and that more will be made in the very near future, with already available funds. Onto the election, P.J. Trondson is the new President; Joy Lies will be her Vice-President. Linda Haynes will be the new secretary, giving Max's 94 year young Ethel Boettcher a rest. Viola Gullickson will remain on as treasurer for one more year. The Seniors will be holding their December potluck and meeting at noon on December 8th. and on January 21st, they will hold their Christmas party at the Center.
