She was living in Wahkon, MN.

This coming Monday, January 16th. at 7:30 is the City of Max's very important Centennial planning meeting. Again, your attending this meeting is important. You are a part of the City of Max and you will no doubt enjoy this summer's Centennial events. So come and hear about them and give us your input.

Deadlines for just about everything that pertains to the Centennial are coming up the end of this month. Do you have your family history in; your business history in; recipes and hints for the Library's cookbook; information and pictures for the Alumni book and also for the History book?

At this Monday's meeting, the banners to put up on the poles on Main Street and nearby streets will be discussed. We need your ideas on the designs etc.

Also at this meeting, a Turtle Lake man will talk to us about having him take pictures and videos during the Centennial Celebration. If you have anyother ideas on this, please come to the meeting.

Remember, you live in or by this city, so you should want to be involved in helping make this Centennial celebration something to be proud of. See you at the meeting; Monday at 7:30 at the Civic Center. Come join the few of us.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead
