Max News 3-27-06 Alumni meeting this Sunday at 2:00, spouses of alumni also welcome. Last Tuesday the Sunnyslope Homemakers met at JoNell Samson’s apartment building in Minot. Eight members were present. Last Saturday a large group of ladies met at the Centennial Café to wish Florene Knudtson a Happy Birthday. “Drop-ins” that ‘crashed’ the party were Doris Engene from Garrison, Alvina Berg from Minot, and Betty Field from the Douglas area. These ladies are related to Florene. What a nice surprise for her! Not only is this Saturday April Fools Day…. it is also the deadline for purchasing tickets for guessing the date and time the Dr. Pepper can will plunge into the water. And it is the cut-off date for getting anymore histories in for the Max Centennial History book. The next day, Sunday April 2 is Immaculate Conception Catholic Church’s annual spaghetti and meatball dinner from 11:30 to 1:30.
