On March 18 th, Wyatt Kersten, Holly Kersten, Janice Kersten, Krystal Kersten, Tracy Pelzer, Susan Hager, and Tammy Meschke walked in Walk America to help the March of Dimes in their fight to prevent premature births. Wyatt’s Walkers were able to raise $1,463.00. Thanks to everyone who contributed, including these area businesses, McElwain Construction, Wilcox Construction, DJ’s Lounge, Hair Magic, and Kersten’s Electric. Thank you for your support, Wyatt’s Walkers.

Steve, Dawn, Samantha, DeeAnna, and Stephanie Ziegler from Hazen came to attend the spaghetti dinner at the Max Catholic Church on Sunday. Afterwards they visited at Dawn’s parent’s home, DeeOn and Dwight Mack.

The spaghetti dinner held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church this past Sunday was very successful. Meals were delivered to several shut-ins in Max.

The Dr. Pepper can plunged into the water. Next week’s news will have the winners listed.

On the back of the blue April Community Calendar is the tentative schedule of the events taking place during Max’s Centennial Celebration June 20, July 1 and 2 nd. of 2006. These calendars are free and available at several businesses in Max.

On Monday, April 10 th the Civic Club will hold their meeting at 7:30, with the new officers officiating.

Tuesday, the 11 th is the Max Farm Services Annual meeting and Wednesday at 10:30 is Preschool Story Hour at the Max Library.

Thursday, April 13 th, the Max Senior Citizens’ will be holding their monthly meeting at 2:00. Please bring a baby and/or graduation picture of yourself as plans are being made to have these on display during the Centennial Celebration. This is an important meeting as Older Americans’ Day is coming soon and more plans have to be finalized.

There is no school in Max on the 14 th, Good Friday nor on Easter Monday. That Monday, 17 th, is April’s Centennial Planning meeting so make plans to attend. This takes place at 7:30 at the Max Civic Center.
