Max News 5-29-06 Congratulations to Kathy and Greg Zenz on the birth of their son Michael Alan! Michael weighed 7#7oz. and was born on May 23rd. Welcoming him home with big hugs are his older brother and sister, Christopher and Stephanie. Congratulations to Kathy and Greg. Welcome to Max, Michael! Today, Thursday June 1 the Max Centennial will be featured on the Noon Show on Channel #13. Calling all kids! The Summer Reading program begins at 3:00 on Friday, June 2 at the Max Library. Please be sure to wear clothes that you can paint in as we will be painting our "dog house". Also, do not forget to register for the Taube Museum visit on June 9 at 2:00. You will need to be registered for this so call or stop in at the library today. Friday will be the last day for accepting registration. This Saturday, June 3 is Kick Off day for readying the town for the Centennial Celebration. The banners will be hung on the poles in Max and work will be done in the patio area between the Civic Center and the Post Office. Call Doreen Malling at 679-2408 if you have any questions. Sunday, June 4 from 2 to 4 pm there will be a bridal shower for Brandi Henne, fiancee of Chris Ellison of Garrison. This is being held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max. Please bring a favorite recipe. Tuesday, June 6 at 7:30 there will be an important Centennial meeting. Just think, in a month the Centennial will be over!
