Travis Samson and the community would like to express their special thanks to JacobWickman of Towner and Adam Monk of Arnegard, Trevor Kohler of Benedict and Tracy Samson of Max for all their help in keeping the city and streets clean during the long days and nights of the Centennial. Thankyou very much, Travis for the wonderful job you and your co-workers did! We appreciate you!

And we all thank Edwin Schmidt for the use of his trailer and Pure Honda in Minot for letting the clean-up crew use a new four-wheeler for the job.

The Post Office sold close to 200 of the large post cards with 3 scenes of Max, in days gone by, and the envelope they had a picture of the livery stable across the front of. They will still have these post cards and envelopes for sale as long as the supply lasts. They will continue to do the Centennial Cancellation stamp throughout July. We want to thank our Postmistress Carmel Weiland for having these made for our city.

Tomorrow, Friday, July 7th. the Max Senior Citizens will be having their monthly meeting at 2 p.m. at their center. This is a week earlier than the normal schedule.

Activities continue on in Max with Good News Club starting on Monday, July 10 at 10 a.m. at the City Park.

And again, the Centennial meetings aren't over but this will be the wrap-up meeting and will be very interesting to hear how all the committees did, along with other information shared. Be there Monday, July 17th. at 7:30 at the Civic Center.

We have a new City Auditor, Dena Guenthner of Max, as our long time City Auditor Pat Hannegrefs has retired to enjoy their grandchildren. Thankyou, Pat, for the wonderful job you have done. And welcome, Dena, to the position.
