Max News 7-31-06 A whole month has gone by since Max had their Centennial celebration! Douglas will be having theirs this week-end and that seems to be the last one in this area for 2006. Time sure does fly by when you are having fun! Come to Max again this week-end and have some more fun at the rodeo performances. And to add to your fun, the city will be full of rummage sales for you to enjoy. The rodeo performances are Friday at 6:00 and Saturday at 6:00. The rummage sales will be from 8 to 3 on Saturday. The rodeo performance Friday night will present a gift certificate for the largest family in attendance at the rodeo. Saturday night the gift certificate will go to the Grandparent with the most Grandkids in attendance. There will be Mutton Busting for those grandchildren! The Max City-Wide Rummage Sales are this Saturday, August 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Maps will be available at Cenex in Max. Come and find some great bargains! Please see KXMC.com under garage sales for a listing of some of the items for sale. The second swimming session will be held August 7-11. The cost is $29.00 per child. If you are a member or would like to become a member of the Max Civic Club, the cost will be $14.50 per child. Please send payment on Monday with your child, made out to YMCA. We will meet at the school at 12:15 sharp and will return to the school around 3:15. We need chaparones each day so please call Lynae Schroeder at 679-2505 if you can help out. There will be a Farewell Get-together for the Doan family on Friday, August 11th at 7 p.m. at the Max City Park. Everyone is welcome. Seniors, don't forget your monthly meeting! Many Seniors from Max enjoyed Senior Day at the North Dakota State Fair a week ago. Some of our Max Seniors were even on television as they scanned over the group!
