Max News 9-20-06

Listen up!  Someone will come to Max once a week to teach Karate if enough interest is shown. The cost will be $45 a month for one class a week. Day and times are being looked at and will depend on the interest shown. Please contact Dena Guenthner at her City Auditor office number 679-2770 or contact Lynae Schroeder at her home number 679-2505. This class is a great self-confidence builder besides helping a person defend themselves.

Fall must be coming as the Max Library is having their book fair on Sunday, November 12th.  This also when they invite others to come in with their crafts and other items to sell. The tables for this event are $10 each and you can reserve as many as you want by calling the Max Library at 679-2263. The Library will have books available from Scholastic and Waldenbooks.

"She's Back!" Yes, our wonderful Terry Voeller will be here again during Library Week, teaching something beautiful. She'll be here Monday, November 13th at 7:00. There will be more on Library Week events as time goes on.

Margaret Zaderaka of Max and her sisters, Florence Wiest of Wishek, and Elaine Fischer of Garrison got together Monday evening to go through pictures, papers, etc. that have been sent to us after the passing of our Aunt Margaret in Toronto, Canada. Our Aunt Margaret was the only sibling of our Mother's, and yours truly is named after her. She was 99 years and 4 days old.

Reminder: There is a box in the Bremer Bank in Max that you can put any news into. There is a notepad in there in case you just want to write your information then. Also, hopefully our computer will remain running for awhile so you may send me your news through e-mail at emz@rtc.coop. If you enjoy reading it, add to it!

Soon there will be fall church suppers announced and the Civic Club Steak Fry is coming up in October. Soon the remaining souvenir items from our Max Centennial celebration will be sold at reduced prices, just in time for Christmas gifts. So keep tuned!
