This Friday, tomorrow, November 9th., is the Max Senior Citizens' noon potluck with their meeting to follow at 1:30. At 1:00 a speaker from Legal Services for Seniors of North Dakota will be speaking. This is open to the public. Please bring in your raffle tickets and money. The raffle will be held on November 18th. at 2:00 at the Civic Center where the Library's Annual Flea Market is taking place. This November meeting is also election time for Vice President and for Treasurer. The next big event for Seniors will be on December 9th. when they have their potluck Christmas party at the Senior Center.

Monday, November 12th is Civic Club's regular meeting night at 7:30 at the Civic Center. The Max Commmunity Library Book Fair will be held on November 13th. through November 18th. Remember, you need to pre-register for Tuesday evening's education class with Amy Hauf helping you make a quilted potholder. And you also need to pre-register for Thursday evening's class when Tamra Huesers will be having a craft lesson.

Then on Sunday, November 18th. the Civic Center will be all a buzz with approximately 17 vendors set up for you to browse and possibly buy that gift for the person who is hard to buy for. The Library will be having new books for sale throughout the week and on this Sunday. Breakfast will be served, as will noon lunch. For more information, please call the Max Library at 679-2263.

St. Matthew's LWML will have a mitten, scarf, gloves, and caps collection to be given to the area needy young people. You can leave your donation at the Max Bremer Bank before December 18th. Thank you. Let's help keep them warm this winter!
