Sunnyslope Homemakers met at Marian Schmidt's home for their November meeting. Part of the business of the day was crafting turkeys and making plans for their Christmas party. This will be held at Mavis Zahursky's in Minot. Several from Minot were unable to attend and some have moved from the Max area.

There is one new address I am able to give you and that is for Marge Scurlock. Marge has moved into Edgewood Vista where you can reach her via phone at (701) 837-4691. Her mailing and visiting address is Edgewood Vista; 800 17th. Avenue S.E. Apt. #50; Minot, N. Dak. 58701.

Have you noticed a box in the Bremer Bank in Max? St. Matthew's LWML are collecting mittens, scarves, gloves, and caps to be given to the area needy young people and they would like you to fill that box for them. Please drop any of these items off before December 18th. Thank you!

Library Book Fair Week will be in full swing when you read this news. Their biggest day will be this coming Sunday, the 18th., when the Civic Center will be full of vendors with products, baked goods, and flea market items. The Senior Citizens of Max are serving breakfast and lunch so come by early and stay late. 9:30 to 2:30. The drawings for the many wonderful prizes the Senior Citizens are raffling off will be at 2:00, with the vendors closing at 2:30. You will be able to purchase tickets towards this raffle at the Civic Center throughout the day. The Library's Bake Sale will benefit the library in Max.

Story Hour will be held at the library at 10:30 the next day, Monday. And then there is Thanksgiving! Guess what holiday comes next! And as we all know, it comes much too quickly. Happy Thanksgiving!
