Something new is coming to Max! The First Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration. This is scheduled for December 2nd; a Sunday. There will be a potluck at 5:00, followed by the lighting of the Christmas tree that will be in the courtyard of the Civic Center. If you'd like, you may bring a decoration for the tree. Christmas Carols will be sung around the tree. There will be a box for food donations to the McLean County Resource Center in Washburn. This event is being sponsored by the Max Civic Club and the City Council of Max. Most importantly, we will be celebrating the true meaning of Christmas and fellowship!
When a man has compassion for others, God has compassion for him." Talmud
