Tomorrow, December 14th the Max Senior Citizens will be having their monthly potluck and meeting at their Center. The potluck is at noon and the meeting starts at 1:30.

Santa will be visiting Max on Saturday, December 15th. A breakfast of pancakes and sausage will be served from 9:30 to 11:30 at the Max Civic Center. There will be treat bags, entertainment; horse drawn hay rides, and special door prizes. The McLean County Sheriff's office will have Mugs and Hugs so be sure to come to get your picture taken. This fun event is sponsored by Bremer Bank AND Insurance and the Max Civic Club.

Sunday, December 16th, Immaculate Conception Church in Max will be having their Christmas Program after the 11:00 mass. Following the Christmas program, there will be a Farewell to Father Francis with a potluck around 12:30. All are welcome to attend and say goodbye to Father. Father Francis is going home to India the end of December for good! We are all going to miss him.

Monday, December 17th is the Max School Christmas Concert at 7:30. This will be held at the Max Public School. Then the last day of school will be the 21st. with vacation until January 3rd when school will resume.

Winter is upon us so remember to leave any of these items in the box at the Bremer Bank in Max. St. Matthew's Lutheran Church is collecting caps, gloves, mittens, scarves, etc. to be given to many in the Velva School and in the Max School and also to the McLean County Resource Center in Washburn. Let's keep the little ones warm!
