Happy New Year! You may have noticed there wasn't any Max News in the paper last week, because "there wasn't any Max News!"
Mail, e-mail, or put it in the Max News box at the bank, all your activities and visitors during Christmastime, if you'd like. I normally check the box at the bank about 3:30 Monday afternoons and can receive e-mails up to 10:00 P.M. on Mondays.
News from this home front mainly is that Eugene Zaderaka arrived home safely Sunday evening after being stranded in southern Colorado for two days. Driving was a challenge going to his destination but the return trip found him sitting it out in a truck stop along with many cars and trucks and with the highway lined with trucks on both sides of the road, waiting for better conditions. I've heard of many from the area that had to make other arrangements to get back home, too. Share their experiences with the readers!
Christmas for the Zaderaka's was wonderful with Marlo and his daughter Zoe spending Saturday evening opening gifts at the farm with Grandpa and Grandma. Christmas Eve we were treated to supper at Dean and Heidi Zaderaka's in Minot, with gift opening there, and many enjoyable moments with their daughter, Hannah. Christmas Day all of the Zaderaka's found themshelves eating too much and playing fun games at Mark and Lori Zaderaka's in Minot.

And so the new year has made its way into our lives!
"First I was dying to finish high school and start college. And then I was dying to finish college and start working. And then I was dying to marry and have children. And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough so I could return to work. And then I was dying to retire. And now, I am dying.....And suddenly realize I forgot to live." Anonymous
