There is a new little one to tell about this week! Kari and Clint Walker of Boise, Idaho had their first child, a precious little son, on March 6th. The little Dylan Berg Walker weighed in at 6 lbs.13 oz. and is 19 and 1/2 inches long. Congratulations to the new parents and to the Grandparents, our own Karen and Orrin Berg, of Max. Congratulations!

This past Friday was World Day of Prayer, with a service held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Max.
Lila Fannik hosted a birthday party for Ellie Richmond on March 8th. Ellie is from Ryder and related to Marge Scurlock. Those enjoying being together at Lila's were Marge Scurlock and Lorna Sambor, along with the birthday girl.
Lila also hosted a Welcome Home supper and cake party for Mary Lushenko who returned home to Max on Thursday. Her daughter, Shirley and husband John accompanied Mary home. All had a fun time and Mary is glad to be home.
Eugene and Margaret Zaderaka visited with Shirley Braunberger and her children at Trinity Hospital on Sunday. Melvin is hospitalized in critical condition so Kevin Braunberger from California came home and Lynelle and Greg Hatlestad from Arizona also came home. Ranae lives in Beulah and Keith lives in Minot and they were also there.
Food is on the agenda in Max again! This Saturday, March 17th., also St. Patrick's Day, the Seniors are having a St. Patrick's Day dinner at the Civic Center from 5 to 7, with Irish food being served. Tickets are available right up to meal time. I was incorrect in last week's news. Tickets are $7.50 each with children under ten eating free. There will an abundance of door prizes!
April 1, Palm Sunday, Immaculate Conception Church in Max is having their spaghetti and meatball dinner from 11:30 to 1:30.
I was also wrong on the cut-off date for buying tickets to guess the month, day, time, and minute the can will make its Plunge. The date is on the tickets. You get three guesses per ticket. Don't wait too long to buy your tickets as there is a limited number being sold.
"The only way to live is to accept each minute as an unrepeatable miracle, which is exactly what it is: a miracle and unrepeatable." Storm Jameson
