The Max Plunge contest officially ended on Thursday, March 29th at 2:50 a.m. when the "big can" fell into the ice and stopped the clock. New sponsors of the contest this year are Reservation Telephone of Parshall, N.D. and Otter Tail Power Company.

The lucky winners this years are: Nancy Gullickson of Max, 1st. place of $500.; Steve and Tami Hauf of Sabin, Mn. 2nd. place of $250.; Ole Olson of Minot 3rd. place of $100. and Becky Boedicker of Max 4th. place of $50.

There is a need for an adult with his/her own lawnmower to mow the parks in Max this summer. See more on this elsewhere in today's paper.

McLean County Council on Aging will meet at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 9th. The Max Senior Citizens are the hosts. Then on Friday, the 13th. the Max Senior Citizens will be having their April meeting at 2 p.m. The potluck will not be held this day, but will be held on the 4th. Friday of this month, April 27th. at 6 p.m.

No school on Good Friday nor Easter Monday. Happy Easter everyone!
