Last week I was too slow in getting the news to the McLean County Independent office so it will be added to this news, as 'Delayed'.
This coming Friday, July 13, is the monthly Senior Citizens' meeting at 2 o'clock at the Sr. Center. If you have any raffle ticket stubs, please bring them, along with the money, to this meeting. At this meeting there will be a budget report. They will be updating the members on all income and expenses for the first six months of the year and giving updates on all projects, including the Bremer Grant and IRS status.
A reminder - you need to have your news to me, or in the Max News box at Bremer Bank in Max, no later than 10 p.m. on Mondays for it to come out in the following Wednesday-Thursdays McLean County Independent.
Max's own George Huettl will be celebrating his 85th. birthday next week, on July 18th. There is a Card Shower being held for him. Please mail your card to George Huettl; Manor Care; 600 South Main Street; Minot, N.D. 58701. Add a note and/or a picture - he'll enjoy that!
This past Saturday's City Wide Rummage Sales event was a great success. It is reported that there were 11 sales and alot of people in town for it, despite the extreme heat and humidity.
Check out the bulletin board by the City Auditor's door in the Max Civic Center. You may find your eye glasses or trouser belt there! They have been 'lost' for quite some time.
