A family gathering was held at the Max City Hall in honor of JoAnn (Kohler), James, Dalton and Daryl Riley of Yazoo City, Miss. They were here to visit and stay with JoAnn's mother, Marian Elaine Kohler.
Marian Elaine was unable to attend as she was admitted to the Garrison Hospital on Wednesday evening, then transferred to the Bismarck hospital, St. A's, on Thursday. She was released on Sunday afternoon.
All of Marian Elaine's children attended the gathering in Max except for Joel, Lisa, Anthony, and MaKayla Kohler of Mandan as they stayed with Marian Elaine at the hospital on Saturday.
Marian Elaine wishes to thank those who called, sent cards, and prayed.
On Sunday after Marian Elaine was released form the Bismarck hospital, she had a chance to see her son, Joel's new house.
This Friday, August 10th, is the monthly Senior Citizens' meeting at 2 p.m. at the Max Senior Center.
Then on Monday, the 13th, at 7 p.m. the Civic Club is sponsoring a potluck supper for their members, at their meeting, at the Max Park.
Max School registration on Tuesday, August 14th, from 8 to 11 a.m. for new students and class schedule changes. For more information call the school at 679-2685.
And soon-to-be students, now 4 years old, have your parents contact the Max School between 9 and 3 Monday through Thursday at 679-2685 if you are to be in Pre-School.
