Reminder: With the earlier deadline for having the news into the Garrison office, please have your news into the Max News box at Bremer bank in Max by Friday noon. This Friday, August 24th is the Senior Citizen potluck at 6 p.m. at the Senior Center.

Sunday, September 9th., from 9 to 1 at the Max Civic Center, the celebration will be Grandparents Day! French toast and sausage will be served. There will be many interesting details about this event as it draws closer. Many nice surprises are in store for you.

Friday, September 14th will be the Max Senior Citizens' September meeting at 2:00 at the Senior Center. The speaker for this meeting will be LeAnne Thomas with Family Care Giver Services. Bring your money and raffle ticket stubs - time is getting closer to drawing time.

A reminder to reserve your table or tables for the Flea Market being held on November 18th. from 9:30 to 2:30, with set-up the evening before. This is sponsored by the Max Public Library and is during their Library Week. They will be having books etc. for sale - a good way to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. Please phone the Max Library to reserve your tables, which are $10 each. And you really want to be there at 3:00 when the Seniors from Max will be having their raffle drawing and all the wonderful expensive prizes will be given away!
