Open to the Public: This coming Friday, September 14th at 2:00 is the monthly meeting of the Max Senior Citizens. Please remember to bring in the raffle ticket stubs and money. The speaker at this meeting will be LeAnne Thomas from the Family Caregiver Program. Anyone interested in hearing our speaker is more than welcome to come to the meeting. Lunch is served following the meeting.

This coming Sunday, September 16th, former Maxite Leona Zahnow will celebrate her 85th birthday at an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. in Dakota Terrace Apartments, 3205 10th. Street S.E. Her family is hosting the event. The family requests no gifts.

The Max Library's Annual Flea Market for November 18th is filling up. To reserve your table for $10, please call the library. Library Week is from November 13th through November 18th and there will be the fun evening craft/educational sessions - and this year they are all new! You will want to come to these. As time gets closer, more details will be let out of the bag!

October 27th is the Max Civic Club's Steak Fry. Tickets are now on sale at all Max Businesses.

Grandpdarents' Day Breakfast held at the Max Civic Center on Sunday was very well attended. The entertainment was a demonstration by the Karate Kids and Duane and Lynae Schroeder's girls did a dance performance. Thanks to all who attended and to all who helped. Thankyou!
