Max News 1-14-08

To all the Max people who have moved away or have gone south for the winter, we want you to know all of you will be in our thoughts as the winds get up to at least 35 mph and the temperatures dip into single digits, giving windchills way-way below zero, these next weeks, so the weatherman makes it sound! Enjoy the warmth!

Word has been received that Kathryn Osadchy has fallen and is in critical condition. She is spending the winter at her daughter's in Minnesota. We are praying for you, Kathryn, and for your family back in Max.

You will notice the pop can is back up on the ice. The Max Park Board has taken charge of the pop can tickets and winnings. You will be notified when the tickets will be for sale.

There will not be school in Max this coming Monday and Tuesday, January 21 and 22. Meals on Wheels are still being served at the Max Over 55 Club Center every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at noon. You are to sign up ahead of time. Meals are delivered in town, too, so you don't have to get out in the cold. Contact any one of the Over 55 Club members for more information.
