Those of you who went south will be glad to know we are actually above zero now around here!! And the winds blew themselves out. A little more fluffy snow today which will hopefully help the snowmobilers enjoy the rest of winter.

Cars lined Main Street on Sunday to make it a very good turn-out for Holly Kinn Forsman's benefit held at the Civic Center.Thank you everyone who donated and enjoyed the meal.

This Friday, February 8th, the Max Over 55 Club will be having their noon potluck with the meeting to follow at 1:30. On Sunday, February 10th., you can get a 'First Look' at the Scholastic Book Fair, from 11 to 2 p.m. at the Max School Library. The Family Event will be held on February 14th. during Parent-Teacher Conferences at the school from 3:30 until 9 p.m. The whole event will run from Sunday until Thursday of next week. If you have any questions, please phone the school at 679-2685.

Time for Civic Club meeting again and this month's will be held on February 11th. at 7:30 at the Max Civic Center. The Max Public Library will have its Story Hour at 10:30 a.m. on the same day, the 11th.

St. Matthew's Lutheran Women's Missionary League will host the annual prayer service for Christ Lutheran Parish on Monday, February 18th at 1:30 at St. Matthew's church in Max. Refreshments will be served following the service. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Membership night for the Max Civic Club will be March 10th at 6:30 when they have their annual Membership Night Fish Fry. With your paid membership, you can eat all the fish you want. Keep this date in mind.
