There are some very proud grandparents and great grandmothers in the Max area! Kari Gullickson Rodenberg and her husband Craig of Wolf Point, Montana welcomed into their family little Lauren Elizabeth Rodenberg. Lauren weighed 8# 5 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. She has a big sister, Kylie, at home. The grandparents are Terry and Nancy Gullickson of Max and Jim and Shelley Rodenberg of Wolf Point, Montana. Lauren's two great-grandmothers in the Max area are Irene Schoenwald and Viola Gullickson. Congratulations to all of the family!
On February 7th., Sidney Mann graduated from the North Dakota Highway Patrol Academy in Bismarck. Sidney is the son of Jolene Kostenko Mann and the late Tony Mann, living in Max as a young child. He is now stationed out of Lisbon, N. D. Sidney's Grandmother Vi Kostenko, along with Marian and Warren Schmidt attended the ceremony held at the Heritage Center Auditorium. Congratulations to Sidney!
St. Matthew's Lutheran Women's Missionary League will host the annual prayer service for Christ Lutheran Parish on Monday, February 18th at 1:30 at St. Matthew's church in Max. Refreshments will be served following the service. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Membership night for the Max Civic Club will be March 10th at 6:30 when they have their annual Membership Night Fish Fry. With your paid membership, you can eat all the fish you want. Keep this date in mind.
Announcement: The Centennial Cafe in Max will be closed from February 15th. until February 25th. while the new owners remodel.
