The Max Rural Fire Protection District will be holding their annual meeting this coming Monday, March 24th at 8 p.m. at the Max Fire Hall.
Marian Schmidt and her Mother, Vi Kostenko of Garrison visited with Vi's sister, Betty and Freddie Abelseth and several cousins, in Minot on Saturday.
Margaret Zaderaka and her sister, Elaine Fischer of Garrison visited with their cousin and his wife, John and Esther Larsen from Cheyenne, Wyoming in Garrison on Monday.
Lori Haynes of Arizona has moved back to Max permanently. You will find her helping out her family in the Centennial Cafe.
Have you been in the new cafe in Max? It is the color of sunshine! The owner tells me their specialty is to please people, of course within reason. But they also have specials on the menu each day. Salad bar is also available. "Cafe" on the Max Website will soon be updated.
Two requests for information have come in from the Max Website so we know people do look at it. We were able to answer the first request but the rest of you will have to let me know how to answer this last request. Someone is looking for a house in Max or rural area to rent or purchase. There are four children and three of them will be in the Max School next year, if housing is available for them. Please let me know and I'll pass on the information - or I can give you the e-mail address if you have a response.
It was in the upper 50's today around here - snow and ice are melting. Ice houses are being taken off the lakes. What about the Plunge? Have you purchased your ticket to give yourself three guesses? The deadline for puchasing these tickets is March 31st.
