We have some winners! The Plunge for 2008 is over - spring is here. The Max Plunge can went down on April 9th, 2008 at 5:45 pm. Winner of the $500.00 first prize is David Jeffrey; Second place prize of $250.00 goes to Kirby Carlson; Third place price of $100.00 goes to JJ Olson; and Fourth place prize goes to Justin, Nicole and James McElwain. The Max Park Board would like to thank all those who purchased and helped sell tickets, RTC and Ottertail for sponsoring the event and for those community members who helped us with all the details of the event. Congratulations to all the winners!

Word has been received that DiNell Polsfut and the National Guard unit she is in will be back on U.S. soil the end of this week. She'll soon be back home in Max! Keep her in your prayers.

This Saturday, April 19th, Max Public School will be having their prom. You will see many beautiful gowns and tuxes if you go watch the Grand March at 7:30. The Grand March is open to the public to view.

Sunday, April 20 from 9 to 1 at the Civic Center, the Over 55 Club, formerly referred to as the Senior Citizens, will be serving a french toast and sausage breakfast. A free will offering will be taken, with the proceeds to be used for renovations at the Max Senior Center. Subsidized by Thrivent for Lutherans. Everyone is welcome. A reminder that the Over 55 Club's April potluck will be held at 6 pm on Friday, April 25th.

Monday, April 21 there is a Rodeo meeting at 8 p.m. Future rodeo participants just might be found having a healthy, educational, and fun day at Little Hoppers Daycare south of Max. There are full and parttime openings. The school bus will drop any children off there after school, until their parents can come get them. Call Jessica Henne at 679-2256 or at 661-0240 for more information. Keep an eye on Carla Burbidge's "Business Beat" on Thursdays at 6 and 10 pm on Channel 13, as this daycare will be featured on there in the near future.

The Max squad of Garrison-Max Ambulance is sponsoring a blood drive Wednesday, May 7th from 2:00 to 7:00 at the Fire Hall in Max. Walk-ins are welcome. This is a very important contribution.
