We extend our sympathy to Ella Whiting's families. Ella's funeral was in Max on Monday. Special sympathy to her brother Erwin and Ethel Hauf of Max. She passed away at the age of 94 in a Garrison Hospital.

On May 7th the Max squad of Garrison-Max Ambulance is sponsoring a blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. at the fire hall in Max. For an appointment, please call 679-2697 during the day or 679-2465 in the evenings. Walk-ins are also encouraged to take part in this drive.

Max was the location for KXMC's Weather training on Tuesday evening. Another town couldn't follow through in having it so it was last minute for Max and too late to put into last week's Max News.

The Centennial Cafe in Max started serving 12" pizzas this past Monday, either take-out or eat-in. There are 14 different toppings for you to choose from. Their hours will be changing May 1st to 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. May first is also the last day of Preschool in Max so please watch out for more little ones busy playing - keep them safe.

There will be a Retirement Open House for Joyce Malling on May 18th from 2 to 4 p.m. in the School Commons area. Joyce has been teaching for 31 years! Congratulations, Joyce! She requests no gifts and you may come in the north door of the school where balloons will be tied.

Margaret Zaderaka took in Kathy Helseth's piano recital of classical music in Minot on Friday evening. This was held at Central Campus. Kathy is the daughter of the late Fred and Elsie Berg, of Benedict.

Saturday evening, Margaret, Eugene, and granddaughters Zoe Zaderaka and Emily Zaderaka took in Rinat Mouzafarov's ballet program at the Ann Nicole Nelson Hall on the campus of Minot State University. Their granddaughter, and cousin, Hannah Zaderaka danced in two of the programs. Hannah is now 7 and has been dancing in Rinat's ballets since the age of 3. Her parents are Dean and Heidi Zaderaka.
